Say What You Need To Say

The Ocean

I look into the ocean and pain is all I see

Every drop of water is a tear from you and me

Every wave brings with it sorrows and last goodbyes

Caused by lost love, unhappiness and everyone that dies

Tears from little children that fall and skin their knees

Tears from battered girlfriends whose bruises are hidden and never seen

Tears from parents that put their children in the ground

Tears from orphans that nobody wants around

Tears from lovers who took their toll

Tears from people living with half a soul

So next time you look into the ocean think of every tear

Whether it was shed in loneliness, heartache, or plain fear

The ocean will always be here because it will never dry

For as long as people walk the earth

There will be plenty of reasons to cry
